Deakin University’s Global Citizenship Program is offering a unique opportunity to join a multidisciplinary student team to assist in the work of the Aspirations Foundation.

Volunteering during your time at Deakin is a great way to expand your personal and academic boundaries while making a difference in the lives in some of the less fortunate regions of the world.

Overseas Volunteering Projects are designed to provide you with a life changing experience, introduce you to new people and places and expand your understanding of cultural differences throughout the world. On Volunteering Projects you will have the opportunity to work in community that has a recognised need that you can help assist with.

The Deakin University Global Mobility Office runs a number of Volunteering projects throughout the year under the Global Citizenship Program. Global Citizenship Volunteering projects run for 2-3 weeks in both the Inter-Trimester break (June/July) and Trimester 3 (Nov-Feb).

Projects are open to students from all faculties and you have the choice to participate on a credit or non-credit basis. Read through Global Citizenship Volunteering Booklet for more information or contact the Volunteer Coordinator for further details. These usually take place over 2-6 weeks. You will live and work with community on meaningful project in the supportive group environment that includes Deakin or other university students. A group volunteer project may be run as a Deakin unit and part of your course or for registered participants in the Global Citizenship Program.
